What is with zoomers and cheating?

Back in my day, when some shithead cheated he would install cheats, go into a server and insta kill everybody whilst spamming the mic until he cleared out the server. Making no attempt at all to hide it.

But when zoomers cheat, they're all sneaky about it and try to look like a legitimate player, and go to great lengths to try and look like they're not cheating.

basically the sneaky cheater types are doing it for social status - when you remove the social aspects, these types of cheaters evaporate.

They're seeking external validation and social status and use cheats to earn it. This is driven by a fundamental competitive instinct to win, and ultimately, become the man picked by women to reproduce with. Of course, that doesn't happen because there's virtually no audience of women even paying attention and it's a fucking videogame you're "being skilled" at, but the instinct still exists.

You can kind of think of it like they're not quite sentient enough to understand their biological urges are are manifesting their instincts in unhealthy and retarded ways.

Because modern vidya is built in a way that's optimized to extract serotonin in bursts, every battlepass bump, every rank won, every lootbox obtained, etc, while matches themselves aren't nothing special. People back in the days of CS, TF2, Quake 3, BF2 did it because griefing/trolling does bring some pleasure to the kind of people who enjoy seeing random suffering.
In summary modern gaming made them act that way.

because server browsers are gone and every fucking game uses matchmaking now
so a nigga cheats in one game, in a server he wouldve been banned or people drop the server but now he gets into a new game and its a new server, nobody knows he is a faggot
