>Those here prior to the election tourists and proto-goobergate faggotry. If you were here when Moot was running the place, that was a big shift and the original culture and the original way people came to this place was different vs the tourist era. Arguing over who's truly an oldfag if they were here in 2012 or 2009 or 2007 etc or not at this point is rearranging deckchairs on the Titanic after hitting the iceberg.
>Who remember the Old Internet / Web, prior to modern social media era
If you don't want shit to get even worse, you need to hand down the knowledge you have. In the old days people had to go through the same process for online communities, tech, etc.. but that's no longer the case. The way they do things and what they even think is possible much less beneficial has changed. You can either lament it will never be the same again, or you can fight against what has been termed enshittifcation (and all the censorship, culture warrior vacuous side taking etc) and pass it on as was done by those who came before us. Its not going to change if we do nothing - its only going to get worse, especially when everyone is asking ChatGPT for everything to sanitize and bubble their inputs, because they've grown up living in a panopticon where all their mistakes are punished by everyone else and accessible forever, unlike how some of us got to make our mistakes and say 'cringe' or offensive shit and it only got as far as the people we were around at the time seeing us looking like an asshole and then getting over it. And they'll get away with it too. They'll sell less copies than they would have otherwise, because censorship is always a net loss. No one has ever bought a video game because it was censored but many people will not buy the game because it is censored. They will then declare the small amount of games they did sell as a great success. Nothing will change and we'll all be doing this again for the next game. Over and over until we're dead.

What is with zoomers and cheating?

Back in my day, when some shithead cheated he would install cheats, go into a server and insta kill everybody whilst spamming the mic until he cleared out the server. Making no attempt at all to hide it.

But when zoomers cheat, they're all sneaky about it and try to look like a legitimate player, and go to great lengths to try and look like they're not cheating.

Remember when you could buy used games for $5 or less? I remember buying a bunch of NES cartridges for $2 in the early 00s. Around 2010, I was buying GB and GBA games off Ebay for around $5 each. I distinctly remember buying Yoshi's Island for $8 around 2010 off Ebay and thinking that was a bit expensive.

Now you're not getting shit below $10, except maybe you can find an old copy of a sportsball game for $10

Stop playing for a bit then it'll come back to you when you see something you want to play.
My advice is to read some books to keep you busy.
