After 2023, Nintendo has started aggressively policing lolicon and "underage" anime content in both first-part and third-party games (betraying their own assertion that they don't censor third-party games), to the point that even something tame like Neptunia (that even nu-Sony is fine with) gets outright banned from release now and Lin's outfits in Xenoblade X got censored globally for the remaster. For fuck's sake, they're literally pushing unironic "head size/eye shape of consent" rules. Nowi is 100% un-kosher for Nutendo Guidelines. You can expect the same with Fire Emblem Fates as well. Nintendo is currently censoring games on a scale not seen since the 90s.

I don't know, I would still say they were worse during the Wii U era when they were removing entire features from games for censorship purposes. Right now, they're just going heavy duty on dialogue changes.

Features like that just get removed during development nowadays since Treehouse now has input on all first-party games at the earliest stages of development. And back then, it was mostly limited to first-party games. The 3DS Senran Kagura games could not release under the current policies, and neither could games like Stella Glow or Conception II.

No, Nowi was quite popular back then and once FEH was released, she was one of the more popular easy to build characters, and people LOVED Halloween Nowi once she was released. I mean, look at her, absolutely sexydorable. Sadly, that was the only alt she has ever gotten in the 10 years of the game's life.

Unfortunately, as FEH got more popular with normalfags, they cried hard once Sanaki got a bridal alt, and since then IS has been very careful with releasing loli alts, with the only exception being Tiki. 3Hfags poisoned the well way too hard and the franchise hasn't recovered since then. Then there's the fact that NOA is amazing at localizing FE games the worst way possible.
