The display is probably a local value somewhere you can change and given its source engine a lot of people know how to do that. If they did that it wouldn't be that they actually cast that many votes. Over 100 would be almost impossible I think. Games average 30 min, they've had about 48 hours, spending even 24 of those playing would be insane and would only give you 48 votes, not accounting for que times at all. IceFrog can't figure out how to make playing with randos fun. Team Fortress 2 works so well because each player is selfishly accomplishing tasks that benefit that end up benefitting the whole team. Deadlock, on the other hand, if a player acts selfish, your team loses. That's Deadlock's biggest challenging, finding that perfect balance that makes playing with randos bearable, because it's a very special game, especially if you're playing with competent people.

Playing a competitive game with randos will never be fun, because in order for it to be competitive, it has to be balanced; and in order for it to balanced, you have to lock people in for the entire match. In TF2, if people aren't having fun, they can just leave, and no one gives a shit if they show up in the first 20 minutes or the last 20 minutes, just that they can play. Because of this, TF2 games aren't serious. People don't necessarily care about winning, everyone has their own goals while playing and their own standards for team mates. There's nothing at stake, people just play because playing is fun.

It's not a positioning thing either: my two favorite things in Dota were lane harassment and initiating teamfights. you wont know anything until you try it, but yes aim matters in this game. it's dota itemization/farming which includes timings, jungle routes, all that good shit but requires overwatch aim tracking. the cs aimers wont like it because its not cs, and some dota fags wont like it because its 'too much like cs'. honestly it has potential to be the biggest thing out and shape how modern mobas are. if you can git gud and stay gud then there's a scheme there, but desu you might already be to late.
