How I feel every day since quitting Genshit, ZZZ, Nikke, and some other dying gooner slop gacha over the past six months. Literally hundreds of dollars a month in freed up disposable income has meant I’ve been able to buy a Switch 2, plus lots of retro gaming consoles and games.

I will admit, the Resident Evil collab is about as close to tempted as I could get to go back to Nikke, but no. I’m done.

(P.S. have played through Zelda BOTW and Zelda TOTK in the past couple of months and they are more satisfying experiences than any gacha could ever give).

brother, people are acting up because games are going from 70 to 80 and you here was spending money on literally nothing as the content on gacha is literally free. Gachas systems are trash, and at best they are the fast food of the gaming industry but don't pretend it isn't your fault for being completely retarded..

I wouldn't even care about spernding money on gacha, but having to do dailies and shit like a chore is utterly insufferable.

Of course a bingbingwahoo tendies would spend money for gacha because they cant hold the urge to buy and consoom

I've only played Honkai3 without spending a cent and still felt this after quitting when it went full retard. Never touching another gacha.

My dude I have spent tens of thousands of gacha over the past five years or so. Hundreds of dollars a month adds up. Beginning of this year I had a whale Genshin account, every character (most with multiple copies) and every weapon. Same with Nikke - every skin, every character, etc.

Gave it all up. Feels good.

Honestly wouldn't mind playing through a honker3 singleplayer remake with prequel content that ends with "part 1.5". Ideally rewritten to make the latter chapters less retarded.

Gacha development and normal game development have total different goals in mind.
If gachas released as a stand alone game with no microtransaction they would still be total dogshit and not worth the money.
The reason people play gacha is because they are free and new content is also free. some retards get trapped and find value on the microtransactions, which is what allow them to continue developing the game, however even though there is some kind of quality on some of them, a big important game design will suffer because it has to make money by creating these traps thus making the game objectively worse.
