I think her character is great, I just don't like how on the nose her lightsaber is specifically.
Literally everything else in the game is left to the interpretation of the viewer. If you're a psychopathic sadist, you can look at Jiequan and go "heck yeah, this guy's based and awesome, what a role model to look up to", and the game doesn't really contradict you if you wanna think that way - it just presents Jiequan and lets you form your own conclusions. Which will usually be "what a psychopath" but again it's up to you to decide that.
Eigong is the only one who gets the "look at me I'm EVIL" badge. If for some reason you feel like giving in to the mutations may be better than total extinction, the game explicitly tells you "no, WRONG, look she's evil she has the bad guy weapon!!".
I agree with everything else you said, I just think it should be up to the player to recognise that. Pretty much everyone in the game is hyperfocused on something wrong - from Fuwa and Nuxi just giving in entirely to hedonism, to Goumang's egotism, etc. Even Ji can be criticised for his inaction possibly resulting in the death of the species, when perhaps there was a way he could've helped if he had only bothered to care, which he didn't due to his autistic focus on indifference and inaction. Eigong is not that different, her delusion being muh science can do no wrong - she just happened to be the one that brought about the most catastrophic consequences of them all. Otherwise, I don't believe she's any more deserving of the red lightsaber than anybody else.
