> Sir, a pentapod has hit the second tower

Anyway, I keep getting filtered by having to make space platforms to get to Aquilo and haven't found a good blueprint I can use to just move on to Aquilo. Is there a mod that fixes Space Age to not be so gay?

> We made the platform engines non-rotatable because otherwise it would be anti-fun, players don't know what they want
Current design is even more anti-fun and chests not working in microgravity is retarded. Fix game Wube.

I'm not saying I can't figure it out. I'm saying that I dislike building platforms enough that I don't want to. The planets I mostly managed on my own except for at one point getting spoiled by someone's Fulgora splitter setup.

The expansion was pretty undercooked now that I really think about it.
I beat it a month ago, and a few things just felt like they needed more attention before launching it.
People say Gleba is the best planet and that it's the most well made but thats total bullshit. Vulcanus and Fulgora feel more complete than Gleba to me. Their mechanics are fitting for the game.
Gleba's are not. Everything prior to it does not prepare you for it, and that doesn't mean it's hard. It just means it has a mechanic that doesn't really work as well with the already existing mechanics than other planets, even Aquillo was better fitting than Gleba.
Spoilage is just fucking weird. I get it. Use it or lose it. I get it. Just make more yadda yadda.
Gleba fucking sucks. It just sucks dick.
It's not hard. I beat the expansion with a belt only gleba base. It worked.
But It fucking sucks. And I can tell it was rushed out the door. The lan party stories confirm as much, too.

The main "issue", or perhaps more accurately constraint, is that the expansion is very specific in what it adds while trying to slot it in as seamless as possible.
The different surfaces are mostly self contained with minimal interaction.
So you either slum it out on a new planet from zero as if you're restarted the game or you build up a huge starter base to supply all the buildings required so you can get the tech to make that big of a base viable.
With he other part being that the player is far more constrained in what options they have. Circuits are basically mandatory while the base game allowed you to completely ignore them, like many other parts.

I don't even care how retarded it is, everything about space platforms is really trash especially not being able to unload from cargo modules so I have to waste valuable space on the main building and if I put the cargo modules detached from main building they don't work yet the game still allows you to put them down.

Shame about how it looks though. It looks great zoomed in, but zoomed out as the game is actually played it's an ugly mess.

I hate balancing belts for space platforms, setting up circuitry is tedious and making mistakes is really easy. It always gets overflowed with some asteroid for me.
I ended up just doing dedicated belts and collectors for each asteroid for my final broken planet design.

Freshness of science doesn't matter if you make more of them. If you can't transport them in time that bottleneck isn't much different than any other. The real damage to your throughput is due to an inefficient design or insufficient scale. The only problem you're going to have is if your supply chain gets disrupted and a glut of science packs you already made isn't moving.

I could not disagree more. There is zero challenge to Vulcanus or Fulgora. You are basically only limited by tungsten and coal on Vulcanus as calcite is near infinite and you can get more of it anywhere because Demolishers arent hard to kill, and only limited by scrap on Fulgora which becomes a non-threat once you find a >20 million patch.
You will never need to worry about attacks or any real shortages, in fact, you will need to worry more about overflow.
This is the worst part of the expansion imo, there was a genuine push/pull on Nauvis, trying to set up a factory that had sufficient power, sufficient resource extraction, and was able to produce enough to unlock more technology and more items all the while watching out for the biter threat. Only Gleba tries to mimic this early game loop which is why I like it the best.

Just because you think you're smarter than you are for copying blueprints on every other planet while pretending to be king shit on Gleba doesn't mean you are.
Pentapods themselves are fucking boring as fuck. But even if we ignore that, the eggs themselves have no way to effectively be looped permanently.
