I'm an ARPG newfag. Played 2 leagues of PoE1, didnt play PoE2 yet.
I enjoy PoE1 but its too sweaty for my tastes. I barely have time to play and when I do I struggle to do the juiced strats since my shit is so far behind.

Is Last Epoch easier in that sense? Gearing and getting good drops? Worth getting for a gamerdad to dump a couple hours every day?

It's much better but still fundamentally the same game. It has an endgame now but the whole game isn't very challenging like it used to be. You'll roll through the story probably never die more than once or twice. Pretty comfy though having fun for a few days each new season.

Last season was beautiful if you enjoy casual clicking. Head into it without looking up any build guides or strats or what's popular and just play it fucking around doing your own thing and it's damn good. Haven't even looked at the patch notes for this update in detail and I'm dimly aware they did stuff to pets in general and necro in specific, but I think I might play a hawkmaster or whatever the fuck they're called

i don't budget is the issue, they just bragged about selling 3 million copies, they were funded by tencent for years and just got bought out by krafton.

Beastmaster sucks to level. Anyway this season is pretty good so far. Like the new dinosaur rifts. Way smaller window between seasons 2 and 3 then 1 and 2 which is good. Had some real good luck with those reverent ghost armor uniques

As someone who has played both Poe and Last Epoch I can assure you that Poe retards will come back within days. Last Epoch is a very fun game on a casual level, but it absolutely lacks the staying power of Poe. You can finish everything the game has to offer, including the endgame, in a matter of days without even trying.

How is Beastmaster looking? I have always wanted to run a build where I go ham in melee alongside my pets, but it always seemed like you could only do melee or pets, not both.
