Amusing that this has specific happenings on both sides of the RPG spectrum, like you can do this in Greedfall where it feels like the MUCH better ending, and you can do it in Metaphor ReFantazio, where it feels like an abrupt bad ending yet is hilarious to see you actually get exactly what the bad guy promises you so it's not even bad for you personally.

Breath of Fire IV lets you agree with Fou Lu and the last fight of the game turns into wiping out your party as the combined entity.

SMT games have their usual chaos route but only very specific few have an "actively disagree with everyone and kill them all" route. I think only IV did?

Obviously Baldur's Gate 3 has that in many layers, but it also feels a bit cheap since you are never locked into any type of characterization and your character can be all over the place even if you play a premade Origin.
Can't think of anything else that's not similar to that, the ol' WRPG thing of "ackshually I am a bad guy" drop of the hat last minute.

Breath of Fire lets you say "okay" to joining the main villain, but that just leads to a bit where you sit around next to him, with him randomly telling you to entertain him which leads to a battle, this goes on until you decide to turn against him.
There's a few other RPGs I can think of that let you betray the main party and actually fight them, but I can't think of any that stem from the classic villainous promise.
