https://screenrant.com/nippon-ichi-disgaa-developers-announce-kyouran/ >The team behind the Disgaea series are now working on a new action RPG that has a similar look and feel, down to the insane damage and level caps. The Disgaea series is a tactical action RPG set in the underworld, where demons, angels, and monsters, fight for power and control of the underworld. The franchise features several key elements, including a large cast of characters, the ability to get monsters to fight for you, and an iconic art style — and all of these and more seem to be included in the upcoming title.
>Disgaea developer Nippon Ichi has announced that a new aRPG is in development by the team that worked on key games in the series. The new game, according to Gematsu, is codenamed Kyouran: Violent Chaos, and is scheduled for release sometime in 2026 for the PlayStation 5 and Switch.
>Upcoming title Kyouran will take place in a world where monsters fight for power. The game will follow a mercenary protagonist who will have to fight his way through monsters and formidable bosses using a variety of weapons and skills. A few concept artworks have been shared by Nippon Ichi for the title, including a character sheet for the game's protagonist, making the Disgaea influences clear in the artstyle right down to the main character's penchant for long, red twin capes.
>Also like Disgaea, Kyouran will include feature level caps of 9,999 and damage counters of over 100 million. The upcoming title will also allow players to recruit monsters to fight on their side, as well as use monsters as weapons (though there's no word yet on whether they explode when thrown like Prinnys). The similarities are no surprise, as the game is being worked on by several Disgaea veterans, including Shunsuke Minowa (of Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless) as Development Manager, Takehito Harada as the character designer, and Tenpei Sato as the composer.

Hmm. I hope it's more Seiken Densetsu action rpg and less dark souls action rpg >on the PS5 and Switch
Oh, so no PC release? Well whatever then. Not keen on how hard they're emphasizing the big numbers autism anyway, that was always the most dull part of Disgaea for me

PS2, DS, or PC for the first 2 games and go from there, yeah.
Ditto La Pucelle if you want to start where it really all began, but substitute PSP fan translation instead of DS.
