Is everyone using this style of thumbnail now on youtube videos? I keep seeing some sentence like "He knows." or "It's over." or "Nobody could expect this." Or "Best cum flavor ever." All of them with a word in red background.

I don't play WoW anymore thankfully but I remember he used to be someone you could put on while eating lunch or whatever and casually listen to as he just talks about WoW updates or something. "Oh so that's the major changes coming with the new patch okay."

It's all the same fucking garbage every single god damn day. But a few years back someone put out an extension that showed non-descriptive thumbnails and a brief description, and that unfortunately made things more confusing because it made you actually check on who uploaded the video rather than just outright ignoring it based on the thumbnail alone. The shitty thumbnails are an effective filter.

There's also content mills. Almost guaranteed you've been recommended some crappy WatchMojo video like "Top 10 Video Games That Made Us Piss and Shit Ourselves". Look at pic-related and how many videos they shit out in the span of like a day. I just took that screenshot just now.

They put barely any effort in, there's zero personality or passion, they get facts wrong constantly, etc. But they spam the fuck out of YouTube and some of their videos end up getting high views somehow. You'll see the vids in pic-related have pretty low view counts but since they do quantity over quality they end up lucking out some of the time and end up with some low quality video getting millions of views. Keep in mind they have 30,000 fucking videos right now.
