The difference between a MOBA player and an RTS player. It's quite phenomenal.

What is actually phenomenal here is that some people see this webm as putting MOBA players in a bad light, while others see it as putting RTS players in a bad light.

For me it's the later. You can't justify having to do so many autistic keypresses for nothing to happen on-screen. It's the definition of artificial difficulty.

This is also why RTS is such a shitty genre. Conceptually you think it would be a huge battle of wits, it would be all about strategy. In practice it's button mashing combined with a glorified memory game.

This also happens with the fighting genre.

It just so happens that people with higher APM also have higher IQ and make better decisions. They have better and more effective micro than MOBA players. It's all about IQ. RTS players are on the top right of this graph while MOBA players are on the bottom left. The APM demand is no problem for high IQ people. High IQ people will curbstomp whatever strategy you can come up with in ways you could never possibly imagine. They are several layers and steps ahead.

This is completely false IQ has nothing to do with APM and RTS has nothing to do with intelligence just like chess also has nothing to do with intelligence (there are grandmaster players with below average IQ), like I said it's a game of memorization more than anything else

There is far too much nuance to memorise in an RTS. IQ has everything to do with APM. Higher IQ people have better dexterity and even fitness in general. Higher IQ people can manage more things simultaniously too.
