It's all about IQ. High testosterone and high IQ gamers enjoy high difficulty, and don't need to take a break either. They simply have fun, adapt and beat the game in a reasonable amount of time. Low IQ and low testosterone gamers don't know their place in gaming, and will play at a high difficulty for their ego even though they don't have the IQ to actually beat it in a reasonable amount of time or enjoy it. Lower IQ people should just accept themselves and play at a lower difficulty so they have more fun. They'll never have as much fun as a high IQ gamer playing at a hard difficulty, but that's life and there's nothing they can do about it. Higher IQ people have a higher potential to find greater enjoyment as their brains can appreciate more sophisticated things.

RTS players are on the top right of this graph while MOBA players are on the bottom left. The APM demand is no problem for high IQ people. High IQ people will curbstomp whatever strategy you can come up with in ways you could never possibly imagine. They are several layers and steps ahead.
