No, they and Microsoft are going to fuck up hard next gen. 10th gen is Sony vs Nintendo, Microsoft vs Valve.
For Sony, the PS6 will be running in low power mode for reduced price but it'll probably still end up being $750 or $800 while being as powerful as the PS5 Pro but faster with better performance. The PS6 handheld will be more powerful than the Xbox Series S but less powerful than the base PS5. It won't have parity with the PS5 or PS6. It'll play all PS4 games, PS5 games with the low power mode patch, and PS6 games that aren't only at 30FPS. Everything else will be played through the cloud. PS6 handheld will probably cost either $600 or $650.
For Microsoft and Valve, Microsoft will release a powerful next gen "console" that's the most powerful but at $1200. Due to its Magnus APU, it'll have BC with OG Xbox, 360, Xbone but gutted unless they're 2020-present games, and XSeries games. It will only be sold on the Microsoft Store in limited regions with little marketing and is a reference device for Xbox OEMs that are handhelds and prebuilt PCs along with Microsoft's own Xbox Cloud. These will all be very expensive. Valve's Fremont is nothing more than a "console" that's exclusive for Valve's use as it will be used as a reference device for Steam Machine 2 OEMs. Those will be expensive but not as much as Microsoft's. They'll come with the Steam Controller 2. Valve will also release the Steam Deck 2 which will be cheaper than the PS6 handheld and Microsoft's Xbox Magnus OEM handhelds. For Valve, I only believe the Steam Deck 2 will sell well and boost the PC handheld market.
Basically, Sony and Microsoft are fucked
