Is it weird I really loved Spiderverse 2 but increasingly started to dislike it over time because each re-analysis I see they tried to paint all the other Spidermen as antagonists and Miguel as some big bad guy even though they are trying to save a bunch of timelines?
Cause I don’t really have much hope for 3 making this work without thoroughly destroying something. If Miles succeeds and the universe doesn’t break everyone will feel like shit for letting people die to avoid breaking more universes like Miguel accidentally did.

The issue is that he just won't fuck off already. He didn't just stay in the Ultimate world. He had to be introduced into 616 as well, and won't go away or rebrand even after real Spider-Man is alive again, and still doing hero work in the same city.

When Dick Grayson became Batman, fans hated it because there's no one else who could be Batman other than Bruce Wayne. He only stayed Batman for three years, and it's only remembered fondly by some in hindsight because we know it's just a small section of a large history of comics.
Miles is trying to dethrone Peter to be the only Spider-Man, and people are upset that this is being attempted. It's ten years on, and he's still trying to worm his way into the spotlight.

This eventually gets a bunch of people killed, somehow it gets out that he was involved, and suddenly the spiderman mantle that he took over is getting dragged through the mud. They could show him learning about the horror of addiction, how fentanyl is killing people, and give him a drug-addicted girlfriend that's actually in his league as a black male.
