I don't care about the lore for literally any game. Not Donkey Kong, not Mario, not Zelda or Dark Souls or Elder Scrolls or Doom or Bomberman or Mass Effect or Team Fortress or Mortal Kombat.

Yes, their morons who still dont understand that Nintendo doesnt give a fuck about things like "lore".

There is no Mario “lore.” The truth is that all these characters are actors performing stage plays and such, which was made explicitly clear in the older games where the curtains would literally pull back on the title screen. All the sports, Kart, and Party spinoffs are the “true” characters because they all get along with each other outside of “work” (i.e. performing for the mainline games).
