Don't Starve/Don't Starve Together could maybe fit in this category. Survival elements include collecting food like growing it in farms or even taming creatures (solo or with friends), although it's not some pure comfy farming sim.

i dropped it, so not THAT good. but not terrible.

the mechanics didn't seem that deep but i didn't dive too deep. i did also hit a wall where i think my gear and level was just not good enough because i was being decimated in the volcano dungeon. the need to grind seemed too great when i just wanted to progress the story. the time limit per day also put me on a strict limit of how much i could do and made me feel stressed as opposed to comfy, i could never fit everything i wanted to in a day and felt a serious pressure that i should not have felt.

They're all set in the same universe with some cameos now and then and an overall story that goes on in the background. 1 and Frontier even have the same protagonist. Aside from that you don't really need to follow it from the beginning, all the games can be enjoyed standalone.

Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons, but only the older ones. Don't play anything released after Trio of Towns. Rune Factory also works.
Alternatively, most survival games let you farm. Pre-Microsoft Minecraft, Vintage Story, Valheim (only spent a few hours on this one, not sure if it gets worse later), etc.
Rule of thumb is, as usual, if it's from before 2016 it's probably fine.
