I have a Deck and a Rog Ally X, I have no need for this goofy looking thing.

Holy fuck Microsoft is incapable of naming anything. Also what's the point of this thing if you can't even play your native Xbox library on PC?

Its a terrible idea to brand it as Xbox at all since it doesn't play Xbox games, its just a standard Windows UMPC. It only plays Windows games. It would have made more sense to brand it under the Surface line along with their other tablets and laptops

People keep missing the forest for the trees. The Deck was never about winning spec wars or being the most optimized device. Valveโ€™s whole play was to normalize handheld PCs for casuals who wouldnโ€™t touch a tower or gaming laptop.

By proving the market exists, Valve basically forced every other tech giant to wade in, and guess what? Every single one of those devices needs Steam, because nobody is going to risk launching a whole new store ecosystem just to compete with THE name brand of PC gaming.

Being able disable all the useless features and bloat in windows 11 to free up ram and CPU/GPU usage is kinda a feature.

Running services.msc and stopping things from running isn't unique to this either. Its just marketing BS.

It's worthless being better than the Steam Deck if you can't justify me to buy it when I already have one.

>>719024832
The only reason you'd want windows on it is for anti-cheat and stuff like that.

I plug mine into the TV to do family game nights. Or when I'm looking after the kids. Steam Deck is relatively portable so it makes it easy to down and dirty some good PC games.

I absolutely one hundred percent guarantee you that there is nothing special about it and you can already do everything its going to do. If you were an intrepid individual you could probably make a tiny shell script to turn your own true "game mode" on and off

>just a slightly debloated Windows but with an Xbox app
You already have this with AME/Atlas/Revi, and it still sucks ass. Removing bloat does almost nothing to improve gaming performance. In most games and on most systems the performance difference is 1%-2%.
The underlying OS is just shit.

the absolute insanity of this statement really reaffirms the fact this place is filled with bots and paid marketers.
at no point would an actual person with a remotely knowledge brain say someone as retarded as this.

It depends on how much over head you have. If you have a lot then reducing stuff running won't do a whole lot.

Steam Deck has touch-capacitive thumb-sticks to turn on gyro, does this?

Steam Deck has two touchpads, does this?

I don't fucking care about 2K Ultra settings Cyberpunk running on that thing, it's like an 8 inch screen.
