What could they do in a Mario 40th Anniversary Direct? The biggest thing I could see is a Switch 2 Edition for Wonder with an expansion. Too early for 3D Mario due to Bananza and both Odyssey and 3D World already got patches.

Adding mouse-mode functionality for Mario Maker 2 would be a huge boon. For Mario Maker 3, I predict they might actually do 3D maker with Mario 64, Sunshine, or 3D World assets
