Got it because it was 150-200$ cheaper (at that moment) than the 4070 Super with roughly the same performance.

once again, i am here to remind you, that in the good old days, the line only went up to the 80 series. that was the top killer gpu you could get. back then, the 60 series was seen as the respectable middle ground and everyone were fine with that. but then nkikia released the titan gpu, didn't they? they then remade the titan into the 90 class gpu, didn't they? yeees, they did, they did, indeed. and buy doing so, they pushed up the standard, didn't they? yeeees, they did. they did, indeed. so now it's not good enough just to buy a midtier 60 gpu rig, is it? noooo, it's not. no, it's not, indeed. now, in order to be hip and square with the joneses, you have to buy a friggin 70 tier gpu, don't you?? yeeeeeeeeeees, you do, yeeeeess, you do, indeed.. this is the world we now live in, guys, and it is indeed grim................

There's no such thing as a good GTA game in the first place. The gameplay is mindnumbingly boring and simplistic, there's absolutely nothing in there to make your brain work at all. Even non-vidya games like Chess mogs GTA. Walk into some retro arcade and pick up any old game and you'll find something that mogs the best of GTA. The only thing AAA games like those have going for them is spectacle. They look good, and that's all, and if you can actually be entertained by playing them, whether it's the old ones or the new ones, then frankly I can't consider you a human being. You're braindead.

Seems to handle everything in 4k well enough, but Iβm probably going to upgrade soon to a 32gb 5090. They kind of gimped the 5080 on VRAM. The card has a lot of potential, because it comes close to 4090 performance even with only 16 GB of VRAM, but itβs not quite there. The 5080 super might end up being the best performance for its value if it goes up to 24 gb VRAM and is priced substantially lower than the 5090. In fact, if the 5080 super does have 24gb VRAM, Iβm thinking it might be a major upgrade to even a 4090.
Due to circumstances I got this, tried looking for info on performance online but all I found were buttblasted niggers. So I guess its shit compared to something else, I dont care as long as it runs modern vidya with playable fps

Main problem with it is how quickly it might age due to 8GB VRAM. I'm not convinced people with 8GB GPUs are missing out on much right now, yeah you can absolutely make the game shit itself even now if you don't adjust your settings properly but every game has playable settings for 8GB and I haven't seen examples were there's a massive visual compromise. I also don't expect it to be a problem for future titles until PS6 exclusives get PC ports. Also Nvidia apparently came up with some AI method to reduce VRAM usage a lot, don't know what will come out that.

Noticeably. If you look at different benchmarks a 5090 24gb is 1.4-1.8 times faster. A 5080 16GB obviously is still usable, just slower. If your primary interest is 4K gaming, though, the 5080 works fine for that though. If you look at FPS tests on YouTube youβll see the 5080 runs games at max settings almost on par with the 4090, but typically 9-10 FPS lower.

Cheapest 9070xt right now on my country is 680β¬ cheapest 5070TI is 805β¬
That difference slightly increases as you get to the wider array of models with most of the 5070TI models sitting on the 900-1kβ¬ and most of the 9070xt models sitting in the 750-800β¬
Thats according to pcpartpicker. So maybe not 200β¬ difference but sure as fuck you are gonna pay 150β¬ more for a 5070TI than for a similarly rated 9070xt.
Now im not even saying that difference isn't worth it, maybe it is. Im just calling your bullshit on that these cards cost the same.
Respectfully go eat a dick.

Each series (30-, 40-, 50-, etc.) has different categories that indicate its performance and price level. A 3090 is an older card than a 5060, but it outperforms it because it was the best of the 30-series cards. Make sense? The current top of the line card is the 5090. The next most powerful card is a 4090. Then you have the 5080. And so forth.

The only complaint people have about the 5060 is that recently Nvidia has been really stingy about VRam, with the 5060 only having 8gb of Vram.
Now, its still a very modern card, it will squeeze more out of those 8gb than my old 3060TI will get off its but is just that people wished for Nvidia to have shipped those cards with more Vram.
Its just a lower tier card of the latest series but its still a perfectly fine card for its price imo. Its just the eternal catch 22 of
>well if you had only spent 3290580329843204$ more you could have gotten....
>>719098419
>The 5060 came out a few months ago right? Why is it low end already.
xx60 cards are low end
xx70 is midrange
xx80 is high
and then typically you have ti cards as kind of a transition, cards like the 3050 8gb and 1060 6gb would be in the same category but were named differently to be purposely confusing.
The 4090 and 5090 aren't really even gaming gpus
The 5060 has good performance for the segment and it's not going to hold you back at 1080p as long as you know how to open a settings menu and look at an overlay, but 8gb stops being enough the minute you jump to 1440p.If you're not already having issues as long as you upgrade 4/5 years from now you'll be fine. I would say it's not any worse than say a 960 or 1060 3gb on release

VRAM usage doesn't go up with resolution nearly as much as people think (the difference gets substantial when comparing 1080p and native 4K but native 4K is a meme anyways). Also upscaling reduces VRAM usage and works really well at above 1080p resolutions.

I got my ex and a friend 1080's ($60, $75) for their TV/vidya computers for Christmas, they run the normieshit they play (Rivals, CoD, Hogwarts) just fine at medium-high, as UE5slop still accounts for Pascal/AMD and gives them TAA/FideltyFX, I tried Space Marine 2 and STALKER 2 when I was torture testing both with my 9800 PC, and they surprisingly ran fine with medium all down the board. I'd sooner buy a Pascal card on a budget than anything x060, especially since you may as well be using TAA/FideltyFX considering how bad DLSS looks on their shitty cards, RTX may as well not exist at that bracket

Frame gen and ray tracing consume extra VRAM, not DLSS. DLSS itself actually often reduces VRAM usage slightly. But it is certainly ironic that Nvidia pushes RT and framegen so hard as selling points yet keeps releasing 8GB cards.

Wow you held onto that thing forever. I had one and ended up selling it for more than I paid early 2020 to cover the cost of the launch 3090 Kingpin, 5900x, motherboard and RAM for my current build. Between it and my i7-7700k (de-lidded and top 3 record holder at the time, which I used to sell it for way more than it was worth along with my overclock settings, RAM and board as a single sale), I got my new PC built for about 500 bucks total. Made money on every part I sold. 5900X and 3090 Kingpin.
Still can't believe I made money on that shitty i7-7700k. Blessed retards and covid. Hoping I can do the same with my one-of-a-kind-museum-piece Kingpin 3090 when I do find a 5090 FE in stock at MSRP (so close each time they go up, one day).

No. And yes the memory is stable at that. I think things start to get iffy at 2724mhz or so but I haven't really tried to push it to the limit. Don't feel like fucking with the memory too much, I didn't see that much of a perf improvement in most titles anyway.

>Asus ROG Astral 5090 OC. Won't need to upgrade for like 10 years.
Here's hoping they are less prone to catastrophic failure from transient power spikes like the 3090s. I had to replace my 3090 Kingpin 4 times and now EVGA is basically gone. Not sure they'll be able to replace it again even with the 10 year warranty. If you plan on keeping it for 10 years I have bad news for you, you bought ASUS. They're the one AIB that will do literally everything they can to avoid covering your claim and charging you for everything. They also like to hold your card hostage until you pay even if you don't take their warranty service. Good luck anon.
Personally I don't see any AIB card as an option since all the 3rd party brands are terrible for warranty claims, but ASUS is easily the worst. With Nvidajew FE cards it should be quick/painless and done via local warranty centers. Maybe MSI or Gigabyte is OK, but I doubt it.
Envious of the 5090 tho king, hopefully you didn't pay too much over MSRP.

I only realized yesterday, 3 days after getting the new gaming pc/monitor. That I manually had to increase my fps limit in windows to get 180 hz refresh. My eyes are open to a new world. I can never go back to 60fps.

>Funnily enough, I actually ended up having to get a 1200W PSU, as 1000W wasn't enough for a 9800/4070S ti setup with 2 hard drives, 2 SSD's, a sound card, and Noctua memefans in every header.
That's weird.
Because I'm using a 4070 TI SUPER + 5800X3D + 2x M2 SSD + 1x SATA SSD + cheap Artic Freezer air cooler and I'm on a 550W power supply without any issues.

That anon is retarded you can safely ignore his anecdote. I doubt his entire system draws more than 700W at worst case scenario. His 1000W PSU was probably faulty or something and he went full retard.
