this is the problem with vtuber/streamer fans. most of them are in relationships or are married. many (but not the majority) have children. most are a lot older than you think they are. i'm engaged to a vtuber and have dated a different one prior. her fans dont know i exist and we like to keep it that way. becuase of this though i talk with and know or hearabout a lot of other vtubers in their private servers and dms so i know a lot of details about a lot of their lives or relationship statuses.
its a performative act. its a character most of them are putting on and most of these characters are always single, pure, hugless kissless virgins because thats the fantasy that sells. either that or they need to be single but very sexual in their topics (lewdtubers). there does tend to be a lot of overlap between the character and the person playing the character - mainly because if you're going to be live pretending to be something for multiple hours every week to keep it relevant, interesting, knowledgeable, and fresh the actress has to be able to incorporate things from their actual lives.
the sad thing is most of the girls arent trying to be exploitative and would love to talk more openly about their home life and relationship status, but it absolutely kills their viewership and alienates most of the people who watch female streamers/vtubers.
