People find fun in different ways. I can’t tell them why a they can or can’t find fun with this game. Some like to focus on raiding, some strictly on PvP, some on just taking pictures.
Me, I play two chars and I like to complete majority of those grinds. All relics, all tools, all PvP mounts, all minions, maxed out jobs, certain achievements (not hunts tho), stuff like that.

Job design is in the gutter across the board right now. I don't deny that, but the person claimed DRK was unplayable and had the worst defenses which is just blatantly false.
Dark Knight is incredibly solid defensively, Oblation is the strongest of the lv 82 buttons, and it got even more insane with the 7.2 buffs to Dark Mind (which was already broken before).

The reason DRK has the reputation of bad defenses is because it doesn't have low cd do-over buttons for free healing.
But if you acutally know how to press its buttons you barely take damage.

NTA, it has a good mitigation kit but that doesn’t necessarily mean a good defensive kit. I combo mitigation and sustain into the defensive category. Mitigation lets you prevent damage, sustain lets you heal it back. In static content sustain isn’t as much of an issue but in everything else (IE 95% of this games content), the fact that DRK cannot heal themselves really sucks and feels bad to play. DRK also scales down poorly for older content, and even in newer content is extremely boring to play. Just because a class is strong on paper doesn’t mean it’s good class design. DRK feels too designed around static content right now. For everything else it doesn’t feel engaging nor fun to play.

There is no reason to hold a skill unless you've already fucked something up and/or died outside of a few cases of the whole party holding on the burst window due to fight mechanics.
