AI requires usage before it is allowed to make the job easier. It must be trained on what it's supposed to do. Most places enforce AI usage to ensure that the AI is properly learning everything it needs to. The company I work for belongs to Oracle, and they force everyone to use AI so that they can replace the shitty Indians they fired actual English speakers for. I'm supposed to reference it to make sure it would do the same things I do. But I just let it do everything for me and pretend to work, since it comes to the same solutions but in 60 seconds instead of 5 days. It's gonna replace me anyway, so now I play Path of Achra on my laptop at work.

he is a criminal tho, as is ballmer, as is this new pajeet dikshit guy, all CEOs of microsoft are criminals because Microsoft has been flagrantly breaking the law ever since their lawsuit they just ignored in the 90s and continue to ignore to this day .

one of the hallmarks of living in a third world country is that laws only apply to poor people, and it's why literally every third world shithole is a lawless land of slaughter where famine and excess sit side-by-side: if you know someone then laws work on the honor code. We're just entering that stage right now because none of us want to kill these companies that occasionally make golden geese.

I don't think any manager would trust an AI to do their job. That's the big reason this shit is 95% unprofitable: the people who it could actually replace, nobody trusts it to do it. The people it can't replace it gets hamfisted into trying to replace because they have no power like low-level programmers and QA Monkeys. Everyone who has used it for any period of time knows it will lie to you at the drop of a hat and no Manager wants to turn in work riddled with lies.

You can use very simple tools like Selenium to make two AI's talk to one another. Make Gemini or JeetPT talk to copilot and it both poisons their training data and makes you look like you're having very long, healthy conversations with it.

And the best part is that it's undetectable, to a casual observer: you're just googling a bunch of shit as you talk to the AI.

>As artificial intelligence permeates workplaces in 2025, middle managers are finding themselves at the epicenter of a seismic shift. Once the backbone of organizational structure, these roles are increasingly vulnerable to automation, with AI tools streamlining decision-making and oversight that traditionally required human intervention. According to a recent report from McKinsey, nearly all companies are investing in AI, yet only 1% feel they’ve reached maturity in its application, highlighting a gap that’s accelerating changes in management layers.

>Ultimately, the AI impact on middle management in 2025 is a double-edged sword: a catalyst for efficiency and a disruptor of careers. Drawing from Fortune’s August 2025 coverage, over 10,000 layoffs this year link directly to AI, shrinking opportunities for entry-level and mid-tier roles. Yet, as the Sydney Morning Herald challenges, if AI prunes ineffective layers, it might foster more agile organizations.

Replacing the cruft of all industry with AI is borne to failure because you can replace a small portion of it, you still need a human to validate it at the end of the day. Two AIs can't check one another because they are far too open to accepting each other's hallucinations. One just has to watch Claude play Pokemon for a few minutes to realize how catastrophic one AI hallucinating can spiral out of control into entire made up realities. You need someone who lives in reality to give them reality checks and the rush to replace low-status white collar jobs with it is backfiring.

Do superficial statistics like that really affect investor confidence? I don't think that aspect would be that relevant when Microsoft is building nuclear facilities, making breakthroughs in quantum computing, and steadily making progress with AI stuff.
But yeah the way AI works is that it needs training data and using AI is supplinyg a form of training data. If you want an AI to be able to do something you just train it to do it. It's like with AI art, if you want it to make FFT styled images like me you feed it examples of that and then it can do it very well. If you want it to do the job of an employee you give it examples of what that employee does, then it can take that guy's job. Basically anyway.

Microsoft is desperate to find a path to profitability for its AI investment. They have dumped an absurd amount of money and all they have is a glorified chat bot to show for it and nobody is willing to pay them for it. So they foist it on all their employees to convince shareholders it is adding value and they didn't dump billions of dollars into a money pit.

Watch me predict the future: within 10 years it will come out that "AI" was a massive ponzi scheme run by Sam Altman and everybody involved in perpetuating it will be trying to avoid being caught in his fall from grace. AI can't be used to replace workers anyway because it has no initiative, no critical thinking skills, and is actually incapable of learning or understanding what it "knows". LLMs are not actual artificial intelligences, they are word association bots with large "contexts" that give the illusion of thinking without actual comprehension. Once the context reaches its cap the "AI" starts purging old context to make room for new, but because it doesn't actually comprehend the stuff in its context it can't accurately judge what is okay to delete and what isn't.

AI has a place but you can't make a project off being an idiot wrangler to an AI, at some point: You need an expert in the field who can look at an AI's hallucinations and say "Nah that's right shit try again electronic asshole"

You don't get experts in the field by graduating from the university of ChatGPT with a minor in googling reddit. You get experts by people who have to do this by hand and recognize the pitfalls presented by casual observers who wouldn't know any better. AI are trained off reddit posts and google results, they are literally the most basic bitch casual observers if you ever had to do ANYTHING with them.

Yes it fucking does because a 95% failure rate is poison to their actual customers: the shareholders. Everyone except Google and Amazon not failing isn't a strong point for AI, it means they're too big to fail immediately.

all industries judge their health from startups for this reason.

The asshole wouldn't pass Compsci 201 with how fragile it is at making code. Once you hit about 15 files it eats shit and starts pretending the start of the project never happened. This is on commercial grade AI with the highest account tiers and even on the latest models. No one has addressed the fact this shit isn't scalable.

you've never used a local model and you certainly haven't been to an actual data center, and the key word here is relative to the alternative
google can play with their methodology all they want but this in no way reflects the economic costs of producing the chips powering the data centers, the cost of cooling, the replacement of outdated hardware and the resulting heaps of e-waste etc
you can't "le own" your way out of a very real issue
