Nintendo is scared of the brand damage from beyond being a shit game. It's going to be a bucket of ice water on a lot of nostalgia driven pay pigs and may make them leave the cult for good. They are worried about this outcome.
It looks like a really by-the-numbers attempt at recreating Metroid Prime 1 while slapping "psychic powers" that look excruciatingly boring to use in as the gimmick. The Retro Studios that made good games is gone. It's been 11 years since they've made something; everyone working there today has never made a game before.
