I stopped playing dota when I learned that no matter what I do my winning outcome depends entirely on teammates

80% of your games your impact doesn't matter because your team is too good or too bad. 15% your impact matters and can swing the game towards either victory or defeat. 5% have a smurf and no player's impact matters, it was already decided you'll win or lose based on which team got the smurf.

in 2023 i bought some supporter packs to get the sprayer/emoticons which were suppose to be permanent. valve busted them and then never fixed them for an entire year and even tried to resell the exact shit which was busted in 2024 so i stopped caring at all and never paid attention. i saw the retard faggots at valve are so desperate they decided to fix the bugged emoticon from 2 years ago since nobody is giving them money for their e-sports scammer packs.

think about it. the valve game developers are so fucking shit you pay $20 for emoticons and then they break them and can't even be bothered to fix the broken $20 emoticon they sold you. they also try to resell what they broke and never fixed (it took afterwards too).

There was a time when i would invite my friend over who was also a big DOTA 2 player and we would hang out and eat pizza and watch the semifinals and finals together. We were best buds. Then we became roommates, and about a year later 2020 happened. I went down a COVID rabbit hole and had something of a mental breakdown which lasted a couple months, which both alienated him and exacerbated existed cracks in our friendship. Eventually he moved out because I pushed him out.

He tried to reconnect, and so did I. But honestly I think we both understood that the friendship was over. I don't play DOTA anymore and I doubt he does either. I don't dwell on these sorts of things often, and I don't really have a problem doing my own thing the days, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't care. Anyways, thanks for reading my blog

We haven't talked in 4 years. I'm pretty sure it's over. Plus desu I feel like I know him better after living with him and while I miss the friendship, I don't really miss him in particular. While my friend has many admirable qualities, he also has some very negative ones which didn't fully come through until we were forced to occupy the same 1000 square feet. I don't really want to sit here and just shit on him for it though, that's not really fair and would be biased against him. I think it's enough to say that we have very different personalities, and his particular character flaws are incompatible with my own. Sometimes people just drift apart anon
