Who would buy a Switch 2 when a Steam Deck does the job better?

It's on par. Same performance, same battery life, same size etc. This means that the Steam Deck is infinitely better than the Switch because you can install whatever you want while Switch only has the eShop.

Why are mindbroken consolefags incapable of understanding that a Steam Deck is intended to be a secondary PC to be used alongside a normal desktop PC?
>>719837960
>doesn't use gyro
Most gyro setups have a way to turn off gyro so you can reset the controller's position after aiming.
>>719837967
Laptops are fucking dogshit if you want actual portable gaming when compared to the Deck. You need a power outlet and a surface to use it (especially with a mouse). Meanwhile the Deck has gyro and trackpads designed for thumbs because Gaben understood that no one wants to lug around periphals just to play PC games outside.

See picrel.

You've never used gyro in any competent application before if you want it activated the whole time. In fact joystick activation is pretty retarded and should be changed to something that require more deliberate activation methods, like an ADS key. This is because you don't want the screen to be reacting to your slightest movement unless you're actually ready to shoot. I'd bind it with the dedicated ADS key for games that have it, or otherwise create a smart action key set specifically for the game.

Deck is my favourite controller, I'm hoping they will do a SC 2 with the same layout.
Very simply its a handheld PC so you have all the implications of that. Unless you are buying for a child (fair enough, keep them locked down), there would be no reason to get a switch 2 when you can pirate or enjoy your steam library on the deck. You can emulate everything including switch 1 games and even bloodborne.
As for recent AAA games, nothing is good anyway and you can use your PC.
The next version of the steam deck will probably be egpu compatible or you can get a legion go if you really don't have a standalone PC.

>>719838525
Yeah that's the downside of laptops. Most of them are just shitty desktops with a built in UPS and screen. Meanwhile Deck was designed by gamers for gamers.

A laptop lasts around the same as a steam deck, lmao. And uniroincally it's easier to carry around a laptop as they are designed to fit well in a backpack or laptop bag. While the deck is a big clunky brick that doesn't fit anywhere.

you use a button to reset the camera or you use the joystick/touchpad to reset your view you dumbfuck retards

having a button to turn gyro on is like not pointing your gun at someone actively shooting at you

>good faith
The Steam Deck is advertised as "a way to take PC games on the go". Its target audience is people who have a large enough Steam library (a.k.a desktop PC users) to justify spending on a second machine for use in cases where they can't or don't want to use their desktop.

You're not arguing in good faith because your entire argument is based on the assumption that it's a PC replacement.
