Superfast swings, plus two exploratory trinket slots without investing a locket. So if you just want to map out an area you can run past most things, fade annoying shit like flies without risking a hit, have the compass and dead bugs purse equiped at the same time. It's mindboggling to me that I heard an anon say the fight got him to uninstall because it was shit after he didn't break the rock in the third phase. The boss fight is extremely well designed and entirely about being environmentally aware, to the point where the actual damage is like a formality. The actual boss was the platforming and paying attention to the environment and it directly uses mechanics that the game just taught you in the previous area. Ending the fight with the rock isnt "ending it early". That's when the fight is intended to end because that's the core gimick of the fight. His bloated health is punishment for players who do not notice the rising air current out of the lava and take advantage. It's TC calling you a retard for not paying attention

You can get to Shellwood right from the begining of the game. Near the elevator just to the west of the Marrow fast travel station there is a jumping section far above Bone Bottom village that requires you to have dash or float, but you can cross if you pogo off of flies. After crossing that path there is a simple door. If you use the simple key to open the simple door you enter the wormways. The wormways are fairly linear so as long as you keep going up you will come out even further above Bone Bottom and it will lead you directly into Shellwood. All you need is 500 Rosary, and the spot right near the elevator has a nice little loop of rosary dropping enemies that can give you 500 in about ten minutes.

I played 10 hours yesterday, last thing I defeated was the giant bug in Hunter's Marsh, which is a zone I backtracked to, very fucking annoying zone, no benches anywhere, and the map bitch is at the end of the zone, before that I defeated Widow and freed the bugs stuck in silk. I am talking out of my ass, but I think I progressed about 25% in the game.

hello silksongbros i come in peace as someone who found hollow knight a 6-7/10 game. my biggest issues with it were the map feeling a bit too bloated/sprawly and the movement/traversal not feeling very good. i loved the bosses (though they too felt a bit bloated; i dont think there needed to be as many as there were, especially when so many were just variations of "sword guy")

Nah, there are roasry making machines throughout the maps. There is one on the far left side of Shellwood right next to the lower entrance from Mosshome, and there is another in Greymoor to the left of the entrance from Far Fields. It is a machine that doesn't say what it does but asks to insert 80 rosaries beads, you do and it gives you one of those 60 rosary strings. I am sure there are more, those are just the ones I have found.
