4 has a whole lot more wrong with it than just revisiting the same areas multiple times. The sound design is dog shit with the overuse of stock sound effects that immediately take you out of the game. The inventory system is retarded, especially with key items taking up space. The enemy design blows chunks compared to 1-3, ghosts don't belong in Silent Hill. The game turns into a shitty escort fest where you have to take care of a dumb bitch with ai somehow worse than the Maria section in SH2. Fuck 4 and most importantly FUCK YOU.

I truly believe this was pitched as an different independent horror game possibly still written by ryukishi but Konami being the retarded cunts they are decided actually it needed to be a silent hill game despite not having a single theme the franchise is known for. my only hope is for Townfall to turn out to be a more faithful entry assuming it hasn't been cancelled or something.
