Nah, mate, it's entirely in line with the typhoon damage. Also, it's Thessia, almost the end of the game, and the player directed Ashley to blast the banshee, so she got double damage for 10s.

I used EDI all the time the first time I played that game. I thought it was like ME2, and you have to remove protections. I still use her very often. James is an absolute powerhouse, and his explosive burst evolution of incendiary ammo doesn't have its damage reduced for a squad. Great for classes without ammo powers and with rapid-fire weapons.

Every time I try to think about how good the Mass Effect series was I remember all the parts I hate about ME3 that made barely any sense.
This is one of them.
Man I wish 3 was better. It has an amazing audio-visual feeling, great voice acting, and the emotional stakes do feel higher and more genuine than the soap-operatic vibe of 2, but it's really missing some fundamental believability.
There's just a lot of badly explained crap all throughout the third game, that doesn't even feel like it's "cuz drama". It just feels like the writers themselves didn't fully know what they tried to accomplish with it.
