90% of the world can't starve to death, you're being a silly billy, and are failing to account for the vast disparity between our current standard of living, and starvation forced labor.
To give the short version, nearly everybody, including what people regard as the worst nation on earth North Korea, exist well above the minimum conditions for able bodied people to survive, and labor.
This very thread, a unnecessary luxury in itself, is referencing another luxury good.

Lots of third world nations have what we call sin taxes on things like Video games. They sometimes call them "Value Added taxes" and are a flat tax placed on particular goods.

I mean, in regards to companies like Ubisoft? Large organizations have a great deal of assets they can borrow against, and sell off. The biggest player in video games, Microsoft, has so much money in government contracts that their subsidiaries like Bethesda are so beyond the customer model that they can continue indefinitely.
Basically everybody has to start using Linux, and pressuring their governments to start using Linux or AAA video games will continue to suck.
