Almost all of these characters were still getting voiced by their original actors as recent as 2020 in Hajimari. It seems to be some Jap autism thing where they think everyone being recast (I guess they couldn't find good enough replacements for Zin/Olivier though) makes the game more beginner friendly. The aim to be beginner friendly as possible is also why The Legend of Heroes isn't in the title too.
