Borderlands 3 was so bad though. It was fucking awful. I remember getting several uniques my first playthrough and one of them was this laser beam gun that literally made the game so easy I had to just sell it. They made BL3 so piss easy I was so fucking bored to tears, I was really disappointed because BL2 actually was pretty difficult sometimes and drops were actually rare which is the whole fucking point of good drops.

There should have been a side-quest or story mission where you could piss them off by fucking with their livestreams by getting them banned off Echonet, demonetizing them, or streamsniping their followers.

I just replayed 1 for the first time since launch and man that game was not as good as I remembered it.
The tone is more tolerable than the later games, but it feels so incomplete. Like there's a whole map that's just the boss on the giant rig/drill thing. You spend hours doing awful filler missions in those two areas surrounding New Haven and then when you finally wrap that up the game is almost over and the final boss sucks and then it just stops. Like because there was almost no story the game has no resolution.
Then the DLCs are all shockingly bad too. They remove teleporting around to make them seem longer than they actually are and it's just so fucking tedious. The arena dlc is also absurd. I don't think it's even possible by yourself and that shit is 3 maps that you need to complete like 3 times each and all of them last like 30+ minutes at best.
After I did all that I just lost interest and didn't even continue in 2. (Was going to play through the whole series)

But to have a percieved graphical improvement, gear box has stepped out of the cartoony style of 2 and kinda made the games look more realistic and less cartoony. Most terrain doesnt even have giant black ink markings anymore.

BL1 and BL2/BLTPS have aged really poorly.
They were hit because they were the first HnS FPS done right (Hellgate was trying but it failed) with edgy humour. But looking bad at gameplay side they were quite stiff.
