I mostly use iptorrents for all of my torrenting in general and the site is great but generally lacks a complete selection for video games, what sites do you use for safe and vetted roms that arent widely known? afaik vimms lair is basically unusable since nintendo's dmca notice

Just download a rom pack dumbass. There is a n64,nes,snes,gba,Sega rom pack that's been around for over a decade now and you just gotta download the 007 games and wwf games for n64 that its missing. Idk why its missing the best games for the console but fuck it, it has everything else. There's also individual console rom packs. Are you new to the interwebz?
