Liquid Snake has Big Boss's Dominant Genes.
Solid Snake has his Recessive Genes.
Big Boss's genes are a mix of both the Dominant and Recessive genes.

I think Solidus is the one who is the perfect clone of Big Boss.

The superior/inferior thing is not relevant, and it doesn't really matter as far as who looks closer to big boss either. If we really wanted to be autistic about it no one person has all the dominant or recessive genes so it wouldn't make either closer to big boss lol

External factors still matter, Solid Snake wasn't 100% perfect clone in the first place and the sped up aging would still probably look different from normal aging due to lack of factors like literal decades of gravity sagging your skin or decades of exposure to UV etc.

Dominant and Recessive together refer specifically to whether a genotype is expressed phenotypically.

The whole point is that Liquid is a retard. He doesn't have the genes which were the main drivers of Big Boss's genetic makeup, so he feels like a less accurate version of Big Boss, therefore inferior. It doesn't matter that Big Boss's recessive traits might be "better" than his dominant ones.

The point is Liquid blames his inferiority on his genes, which leads him to believe he is the offcuts of the undesirable genes from Big Boss. However Solid Snake despite actually having the ‘latent’ therefore worse genes is the better soldier/person. This ties into the theme of genes not being the person. Solid is ‘better’ not because of his genes but through his actions. By saying that is failing media literacy is a bad notion. In actuality you are arguing against your own point.

Like I get that they wrote paramedic to be a huge weeb but its a seriously baffling decision to make Solid/liquid genetically half japanese. They don't look japanese at all, and its more fuel to the fire that Kojima doesn't have a fucking clue how genetics works.

My headcanon is that Paramedic used the Boss's eggs to make the clones.

Snake was only 42, Yes the Foxdie aged him quite a bit but most of the aging effected his organs and skin.
Also Big Boss has been trough a lot of shit. A Lot.
Snake didnt seen as many action as Big Boss did. I think thats a good factor why they look so different.
Plus Big Boss was kept in some kind of coma for 15 years after the events of Metal Gear 2.
