I'm playing Silent Hill 2 OG For the firs the first time on Hard. It's Enhanced Edition. Any tips for me to survive the horrors of Silent Hill and not wandering around like an autist getting killed by monsters all the time?

SH2 is the easiest game in the series. There's exactly 2 spots that can become a playthrough-stopper on Hard mode.

That being said, if you've never played a SH game before, do start with the original 1999 SH1.
It's the better introduction to the series, the better GAME, and it unironically improves the SH2 as well, pro-actively. And no, I would not start it on Hard mode.

I just recently replayed the enhanced edition of this in hard (haven't played the original in over 15 years) and was surprised at how incredibly easy it was!

Even after killing every indoor monster, by the end of the game, I had almost 200 shotgun shells and a shit-ton of health items. The only part that was bullshit was the hospital chase with pyramid head.

All I can say is use the map often and grab the extra items around the town. Unlike the remake, there really aren't that many places you can enter so you shouldn't get lost too often.

Still a great game!

Sure, when you're outside don't fight a fucking thing. It's never worth it unless you absolutely have to, I mean the game forces you to.

Don't waste all your ammo and health packs. You can run from most enemies.

Based god-tier advice. Mashing that plank like a crackhead just makes you whiff and eat damage. That lil wait between swings turns James from depressed cuck to baseball slugger. Works like a charm on those flailing mannequins too.
