I just hate contact damage being 2 for some enemies like the big choir enemies with the violin bow sword. It just goes from hard to infuriatingly annoying when you are spacing the slashes but are off by a little and the love tap does as much as the slash you avoided.

Meanwhile in silksong I got my shit pushed in by literal jobber shitter monsters in the overworld or bosses that shouldn't have caused me problems. I did pantheon 5 all bindings, I have radiant on every boss in godhome. Sure there's a little muscle memory thing going on with the pogo or iframe dash but they really ramped up the early game in Silksong compared to HK which was a breeze

Just wanna let you know that Hollow Knight was originally designed entirely around starting with 3 masks. The game was meant to be hard. They changed their minds at the last minute and decided to pull punches by giving an extra 2. In HK's case, it was probably the right idea as it likely helped the game get mainstream. But now that TC has made it and don't need to worry about sales, they can do what they want how they want. Silksong is what Hollow Knight was supposed to be in terms of difficulty.

The funniest thing about the red flowers is that they're lined up in a diagonal line. So you pogo off the first, then the second, then you just completely miss the 3rd because it doesn't actually line up with your diagonal dive. It's really best to just save any pogo for Reaper or Wanderer. I can't even imagine trying to do any pogo segment with the Beast Crest.
