As made clear by the past few days, Silksong is forcing us oldfags (26+) to confront a harrowing truth: we're too old for this shit! Our reaction times and tolerance just aren't there anymore. It ain't like the Metroid days no more. There's two reactions to this epiphany: seething denial, and the humble acceptance - or, in easier terms:

im 32 and having a blast
really enjoying getting home from work, playing 2 hours of skong, then go walk the dog, eat dinner, play another hour.
im halfway through act 2 and the only part i got stuck on for any long stretch was the cog core blade pogo, because i forgot i could slowfall.

i think you're just looking for an excuse to dislike the game beyond it expecting you to keep trying, since if you dont get an excuse then its your own fault for not continuing.

Your reaction times are fine, you're suffering a vitamin deficiency that's lowering them because your diet is shit.

33 here. Struggling cuz I was never good. My hands get panicky and start to shake from adrenaline when I'm doing well with a boss and I'll forget which way I'm facing and dash into them. I used to just try over & over, but I dont have that free time in my life anymore.
