It's a great action game overall anon, I just think that reliance on beta moves needs to be nerfed and dodging is fucking dogshit.
You also have to remember that they were experimenting with multiple gameplay styles and multiple types of levels.

But aside from that, just making another fun action game? The setting was cool, gameplay solid, the ost and visuals were excellent. Nothing wrong with those aspects being the primary appeal, and they have a good foundation to build on.

I think story wise it's fine as it is a "first game" of a new IP and there's always a chance that it may not even sell and thus the story might have to be written so that a sequel may never come.
I think it could use some narrative work but the environment, music, and other details did a great job of giving us a good non verbal story and description of the world of Stellar Blade

Yeah it's still serviceable, don't think it's horrible or anything like some seem to. The game shines in other areas so it's all good if they continue to lean into that, the first one got plenty of hours out of me anyway. Game has a great vibe.
