There are two endings there. Get them both, then load your save and make sure you find at least 25 fleas, complete the quest Song and Silk, and have all three of the melodies. Go and beat Granny Silk again. Then your save file should be all black. This means Act 3 is unlocked. Load it to beging the final chapter.

When you beat granny silk you will be given two options. Binding her is the bad end. The other option is the good end. When you complete the quest, gather the fleas, and have the melodies choose the good end option. That is the key

for the boss, camp the left or right (traps wont hit you), be EXTREMELY passive cause falling in is basically doom, dodge the 2 slimes then pogo once, at the *end* of his suck, jump towards him and pogo once, then be passive again, if you are lucky when he comes up you can get a slash in if he is close.

I guess they had to make the boss cancer in the cancer area, but slow and steady wins the race.

Afterimage. If you fulfill the right conditions and beat the game your save file splits. Choosing the new half of your save file unlocks a series of side story missions from a character you have seen from the main characters point of view several times but she looks completely different. You realize that this character is not only this other character you saw but also a monster you saw. You play through all of those missions then load up your main game's save and replay through a literal inverter version of the main games tower. In the final boss fight against the true boss it suddenly switches to this other characters point of view and you fight the boss in her version before flipping back to the main character fighting the final boss in a different form.

It sucks that the execution failed and the translation sucked. There were a lot of things about Afterimage that could have been good, but the devs had too big of a scope and fumbled everything. The translation making the story incomprehensible and gradually getting worse as the game went on was just the cherry on top.

Wasted potential, the game.

It is a very big game and there is a lot to do. It has the potential to be a really good game, but even on hard mode it is piss easy and kinda disappointing.

Biggest map of any MV I have ever played. Absolutely beautiful game. Each biome is unique in aesthetics, mechanics, and gimmicks. HUGE bestiary and almost every enemy is unique with almost no recolor bullshit. The fighting game style of buttom commands to use secret skills was genuinely interesting and had loads of potential, imagine Richter mode from SotN but with four or five secret techniques for all six weapon classes. Unfortunately it all falls apart thanks to bad pacing, the giant map turning into a negative as (outside of the first three hours) there is zero guidance and you will spend a huge amount of the time about 1/3rd of the way into the game backtracking for hours to figure out where to go, and the fact it turns into a Wuxia like two hours into the game and so you will be OP everywhere you go for the rest of the game. Seriously without even grinding by the time you get to the true final boss you can melt them in seconds. So much wasted potential.

i've called this game a nigger so many times, but i'm enjoying it quite a lot. i think the difficulty level is quite high compared to most games. it feels like old school difficulty stretched out to 20+ hours. it requires decent reaction time, learning enemy moves, and proficiency at controlling the character. it's definitely not for everyone, but i think they found a real sweet spot. the gauntlets are amazing when you start mastering hornet's moveset.

You just run really fast past the first one. Dash out the door, jump to the platform under it, jump immediately after and then dash to the little brass step. Jump the two walls and then jump into that little shortcut tunnel that bypasses the Judge, jump the bells, jump onto the small platform between the worms.
Hover to the second bell, jump to the wall, climb up, dash to the bell, wall climb and then jump to the entrance to the Last Judge.

It's basic. You don't face any judges, you dart past the conchflies, and the only thing that might slow you down is the wind.

So more people are modding the game, and that also includes debug mode that shows nail damage. Keep in mind this is only the maximum damage your nail can do at any upgrade level, enemies with defense will take less damage.

Trying to determine how much the hunter crest damage bonus adds seems like a real pain, against two different enemies with 0 nail upgrades I got a total damage of 6 for one and 9 for the other when both took 5 damage before activating the damage bonus. Combined with how most enemies will not be taking full damage anyway, it seems like too much of a hassle compared to waiting for a data mine.
Also some hp values for enemies since I felt like running through areas.

Speaking of, the health multiplier void enemies get seems completely random. The enemy can get anywhere from a 2x to 4x multiplier to health, though it's specific to each enemy. You won't find two void fat priests with different amounts of hp. However, the fact that the smallest bird in greymoor has 50 hp is quite a lot for how little you do that early.

In HK, you had no way to heal as efficiently. You had to sit your ass down and slowly get your hp back. In this game you can heal while airborne, and there are ways to make your heal even quicker and more powerful as well. You can beat bosses while getting hit 20+ times pretty easily. Boomerang and Fractured mask are sold by the ant merchant. The area he is in is basically the Catacombs of Silksong; a higher level area right next to the starting area that isn't the intended path but can offer great rewards if you have the skill to tackle them at the begining of the game.

Boomerang can hit a lot of times and has a nice vector for handling airborne enemies. Combine it with the poison pouch's ability to stack multiple procs on an enemy and it is very valuble as a tool for fighting bosses early on.

I am shocked, it is one of my top fights in the game. I am not joking when I say that this was an anime style fight. Both of us where dashing around, whenever I hit her riposte, I seemed to just know if she was going to do her thrust attack there or disappear and try to catch me in the air. I was hitting parries on the dive to meet her rising moon slashes and then parrying her on the way back down. Then getting to the ground to parry dash into parry dash. I wanted to end it with Cross Stitch, but I just missed it because of a poor mis-timing and used a regular slash instead. I can't wait to see the pros fight her, fireborn fights like I do.

I just got wallcrawl, heard in a previous thread how the banging at Pilgrims Rest stopped and they asked if they missed some content. Turns out there's a secret passage way around from below and if you don't do it you miss your chance to fight something called an atlas beetle. So I go on my merry way, unlocking parts of that shortcut... hit the fucking reset line 10 times in the floating segment but finally prevailed. I get to the top and find the flea, don't have nearly enough masks left to fight and not enough silk to heal, but ran out to see what it was anyways. That thing looks like it fucks hornets for breakfast, so I paniced fighting it until I'm on last mask. I spotted the lever for the door and hit it just incase I failed but accidently went outside. Now the beast is fucking gone.

It is Lifeblood. You can complete a quest to get a tool that allows you to stack three lifeblood masks with a tool every time you sit at a bench. Furthermore there is a secret later in the game once you get the Architect Crest and you can refill your tools without sitting at a bench. I had this same thought, but much earlier on, like in the middle of Act 1. Every single zone in HK has all this attached lore. And if they don't, they make sense ecologically. Crossroads is literally the crossroads in the kingdom so it's a beaten down rocky path. Greenpath is overgrown because of Unn, it also has the whole Mantis Lords plotline. Crystal Peak is a weird ass rock cavern but also the mining town so everyone there wears mining equipment. Etc etc.

Silksong zones feel like they're just there because Cherry kept having ideas for zones. Moss Grotto is mossy...because. The Wormways is wormy because...there's worms. Shellwood has a sorta cool thing with the spearfisher guys, but there's only one of them who gives you any lore and all he says is that he's a spearfisher. Blasted steps is like the edge of the kingdom so its windy? Sinners road is like some sort of shitty prison...but there's also an actual prison in the Slab. Far Fields are grassy and...far, and also have a bunch of lava for some reason.

The world is significantly less interesting which kinda sucks. Most of the zones feel like they're there to cater to the gorillion movement abilities you get, not to tell a story. I've been sitting around waiting for the 'City of Tears' moment. You know, you walk into a zone and the music hits, you see the scenery, and go "wow" because it's a big ass zone and there's a ton of lore and other shit. But I've already explored most of the Citadel and it still hasn't happened, so i'm worried it just isn't coming.

I think I've all but confirmed that you need to kill Last Judge to move the flea caravan into Blasted Steps.

yes, they don't respawn, there's multiple of them, and you need both encounters for the journal and that includes the one at the town. the one at the town comes back later if you let it out. just be patient and enjoy the unfolding mini narratives my dude, they did not fuck up with missables. there ARE situations where you will be unable to access enemies (like a unique boss add etc) and when this happens the journal automatically fills their entries for free.

The issue is that if you managed to get Pilby to move away from Bone Bottom to save him from the Tyrant skull attack he will go to Pilgrim's rest. You need to kill the Atlas beetle in the tunnel before openning the gate, or get Pilby to move first. Otherwise Pilby gets murdered. This happens for all of Pilby's locations. You either encourage him to advance in his pilgrimage or he dies.
