My uncle was feeling bad so he went to doc. Found out he had late stage stomach cancer. Almost upon hearing the news within a day he couldnt stand up under his own power. 3 days later he is not fully aware of surroundings and dropping weight like mad. Heart rate in 80s where it should be 120. Prob only has a few days left

I knew people that had cancer in the 2000s, and were just used as a chemotherapy guinea pigs, because there was a whole scandal about just pumping people with as much chemotherapy as they could take too see how much the human body could withstand. The treatment is still chemotherapy with the only improvements being occasional drugs to prevent nausea, hair loss, or to avoid mental side effects like hyper sexuality, anger, aggression, or just retardation as a result of chemo.

cancers are very treatable and some of them are outright curable, more every year. there is zero reason to believe it's just "a death sentence" anymore. if it's something crazy like lung cancer, sure, that's still high mortality but we have effective treatments all over the place and experimental treatments (the expensive ones) get better and go through trials to become regular medicine all the time.

Hit the gym, do weights, eat healthy (especially avoid sugars and oils and eat your fucking vegetables), spend time with your loved ones, avoid screens as much as possible, take some light chemo as support (shouldn't be more than $10-20k) and transcend your cancer with a will to live.
Worst case scenario you get a glimpse of what it could've been. Best case you get another 10-20 years of life.

Xenogears is my favorite game of all time, I haven’t played these yet, but while looking for other works that explore big philosophical or psychological themes, I often see it mentioned alongside Planescape: Torment, Persona 2 (which is actually two games: Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment), and Shin Megami Tensei Digital Devil Saga 1 & 2. Other anons might be able to confirm or suggest something else too.
