Because it's solid,best pogo skills on enemies, great range. Just a tad bit slow which doesn't matter too much aside from getting the occasional cheeky 2 hits in on faster crests. The more silk is decent if not gamebreaking.

Basically Reaper and to an extend Wanderer are the "ez" crests in some people their eyes so you must be a shitter for using them.

Beast crest got shafted so hard. The playstyle is cool, the downwards attack has evasive qualities if you can pilot it. needs a yellow slot and a slight range increase on bind IMO to keep up with the others

Something to note is that the moveset matters. For example the sprint + attack combo raises you into the air which can be good or bad for a few bosses. First Sinner was hard for me until I switched to Wanderer which let me hit him before he could teleport away.

I want to like this game since there's a lot of good things about it, but the progression of upgrades and abilities that aren't ingrained silk ones kind of pisses me off. This is the kind of game where you need to practice a lot with certain tools to get a good feel for them, but since you can only swap them out at benches, and the game is pretty tough, I end up just using a few I'm good and barely using the other ones. It would be nice if you could cycle different items around on the fly, sort of like how the upgrades in Super Metroid works.

I think the smaller hitbox of Ghost, combined with his lack of inertia and the overpowered charm builds, made the old game significantly easier. On top of that, look at all that HP: even normal Grimm only deals one damage, so you can take 7–8 hits before dying

Finally fucking finished bros. If nothing else surprises me this year this is probably my GOTY. It's not perfect though, nothing is, so there are still some issues I have with the game:
