Nameless Town ascent is nowhere nearly as bad as White Palace, just finished that and I don't know what that anon who said it worse and took him an hour are on about. There's a glitch where bosses can throw you out of bounds, it always happened to me on left walls. They would hit me and send me through the wall. It happened with an Act 3 boss and the true final boss. They can still hit you there so you're not softlocked but I thought it was funny

I've died 20 times on this boss and every single time its because one of these cunts touched me, not attacked me, but their model moved past me and contact damage killed me

I tried traps but now im out of shards and need to go farm them like its blood vials in bloodborne. The boss itself is fine -bar elbow contact damage which seems the games biggest flaw overall- but these adds are a fucking nightmare.

Like ive died 20 times and not once because of the fucking boss in the fight.

It's literally just the room you first encounter them in. I promise you meet more in 2 later traprooms and they aren't bad. It's just the lack of room to stand. Don't feel bad about spending tools to kill the 2 in that first room. If you open the shortcut above them, you can avoid them on every runback.

Nightmare king grimm is my favourite boss of any game of all time.
It's the best designed boss I've ever played.
When i first tried him, after 3 times I said to myself I am NEVER doing to be able to beat this boss. I know what you are thinking, that now im gonna say, dark souls style, but then after many tries I killed him. Thats not it.
The difference, and what makes NKG absolute God tier, is on the exact try I killed him, I can now kill him and take 0 damage. I could kill even if he had double the hp. That's what makes it brilliant, once you learn it you can do it forever easily. No other boss was like that to me.

I am sure I am biased because platforming and movement is pretty much my favourite thing about videogames in general. And I also love tight, speedy combat that uses said movement. So I genuinely enjoyed all the combat arenas too.
So I'd claim the game is much better than Hollow Knight personally. Though I still love Hollow Knight even as it is. I just much prefer Silksong, it's as if the game was made for me.

I also really love the game's world design and how progression works.
I like how Act1 is somewhat linear, while Act2 opens up and becomes much more like Hollow Knight.

Even simple bosses are made fun thanks to the core movement of the game.

I'd say the game was both an upgrade and downgrade from Hollow Knight.

I did enjoy all the Hornet stuff.
But I also really liked learning about Pharloom. It's a really interesting place that was and has been influenced by very interesting forces and people. It turns out. And they've been up to really interesting and odd stuff.

The only problem quests in Silksong are the material gathering ones and those are only like I don't know a handful. And they're easy set it and forget it quests.
The Huntress is kino though because it makes you experiment with your tools if you havent before.
