You can't hit your own bees. Also items absolutely are still strong, any character without decent acceleration is getting booted to 10th by an item hit. (Note: everyone online uses mods that shred accel for speed and boost.) SASRT has problems but it's mostly not ones you said. The game is jank as fuck with collisions and physics and sometimes you'll literally just fall through the track or get launched off for seemingly no reason, where then you'll be at the mercy of the game deciding when you're actually off track enough for it to place you back on. Risk boost is an unreliable mechanic because some object collisions are much larger or smaller than they appear, with some objects arbitrarily being unusable for risk boost with no real indication as to which is which. Boats have awful fucking handling and you're incredibly prone to smacking against walls while just trying to fucking drive straight.

The track's internal name is just "Atlantis". Also, The original Water Palace stage had Greek-like stylings like Apotos, which isn't present in the Crossworld track at all even though the game already has assets from Apotos they could have used.

It's like the Ice Mountain track in TSR. Did it share the same name as as stage from Advance? Yes. Is it a snow/ice-themed track? Again, yes.
