Emulation has three states.
Fucked up, "Existing software perfect" and Perfect
First category is where say NO$MSX is. it will not load all games you can get on the internet correctly, some games will just break on it.
Second category, is where BlueMSX is. ANY game you toss at will run flawlessly, but it is only perfect on the context of "every existing game works". anything out of the scope of the software released to it is in an undefined state, for example, it don't take in account if the disk drive motor is turned on or not.
Last category is probably not real on MSX, but OpenMSX is the closest, as it is made by testing real MSX hardware and documenting every quirk and having super precise cycle accurate emulation modes. This one will toss a shitfit if you try to read data without turning the motor on.
For the uses of running existing games, there is literally no difference between emulators on the second and third categories.
