Kinda undone by the knowledge they get them back at some point in the future, but feels were good.
-Adventure Colon or Adventure: whatever you'll see is pretty divisive. It's a retelling of Adventure 01 and frankly I thought it was dumbed down lukewarm shit, but some people really enjoy it. Guess it's up to preference

You can play up to a certain point (took me about 2 hours, can probably do it in just 1 hour if you want) but you can carry save data over and fuck around with everything available in that first hour. There is also a bonus mode where you can do more shit in a Digital World city but you can't save in it.

The demo did not make me want to buy the full game. I'm one of the guys who thinks CS is shitty, so it was fighting an uphill battle. But frankly, it just didn't grab me.
The battle system didn't feel fun. I put it on hard, hoping there'd be some tactics and strategy, but it was just the stereotype of just figuring out what attack does the most damage and spamming it. Tri has a forced mary sue new character, the plot dickriding her digimon the entire time, the entire plot is dogshit rehash of all the constant yggdrasil shit they've been doing that killed the franchise but renamed to try "fit" it with the original series. Except this whole homostasi shit wasn't a part of the original series, it was something they came up to explain stuff that didn't need explaining at best and the whole "kari is possessed by light" was a single episode throw away that didn't really fit with the rest of the series and didn't need to be the absolute moment the entire plot of the movies revolved around.

As much shit as 02 gets, the entire first 20 or so episodes has a given enemy and follows the fairly monster-of-the-week format almost every digimon series has. It's real flaw early on is the new trio (more like duo because the secondary male is basically a none-character for most of it) are very one-note despite them supposed to be representing two different characters of the original. It also has some very good character moments past that with the old characters, some good individual episodes and moments. Something Tri can't say it has at all. Tri is just straight up shit with no redeeming features.
