Software emulators are good enougish to run the saturn games, being a bit of a mess you have to try a few to find the one that runs that particular game.
The only reason why you want a 100% precise saturn emulator is to develop new saturn game.

Guardian Heroes is good, though I'm not that fond of the RPG mechanics. I'm not saying the Saturn doesn't have any good games. I'm just saying a huge chunk of that graphic is arcade ports, and not even the biggest Segafag should be pretending Deep Fear or Shinobi Legions is very good. (Shinobi is one of my favorite series -- Legions isn't great). For fuck's sake Sonic Jam is just a port of the Genesis games and the 3D level is a glorified menu; why the fuck is that the chosen footage? That shitty collage always gets posted and it makes me wonder if anyone has ever taken the time to actually look at it.

Nothing is wrong with ports but unless you're a collector of the physical games (fair) or are somehow still trapped in 1998 it's not a major advantage of the Saturn.

Those hardware accuracy tests are largely bullshit according to the guy who made the best Genesis emulator ever. He had to make his own tests because others were unreliable. The proof is running Titan Overdrive 2.

(And will eventually far exceed it, although the overall issues are more nuanced than just input lag) The problem here is that it's cheaper to buy a Sega Saturn. And a Sega Saturn can play burned cds like the Playstation could.

My Uncle was a "Sega guy" and bought ever Sega console, and you better believe we played burned cds on it. The Saturn and dreamcast were my first major exposures to arcade games, in fact. Got about 400 hours in mvc2 on fightcade thanks to that.
