I recently dusted off Battlefield V. It runs on ultra settings on a lot of cheap modern hardware, so I get to really enjoy it like I never have before when I'm not mowing the lawn at 10 am.

(Do you guys actually do the boomer lawn thing? I don't give a single fuck about my lawn. I bought a few acres in a "rural" part of my cityjust so I don't have to do anything. The neighbor has a few pigs which occasionally roam over here and keep the grass short anyway.)

35 y/ oldfag here. Just started a Grandia playthrough first time (Saturn). The opening is dreadfully slow. It does the Trails thing where every NPC has new dialogue every time something happens. I usually exhaust dialogue in jrpg's but I might dial it back here because it's killing the pacing for me.

That being said, holy fucking shit @that opening cinematic. Videogames used to be fucking INSPIRED. Call me a fag, but I teared up a little. Just beautiful.

Besides that, I'm wrapping up a playthrough of Herakles no Eikou IV. Not talked about much but it's a lot like Dragon Quest in the best ways. Not just being a turn based old school jrpg, but in terms of the storytelling style and pacing - really scratches the DQ itch.

After clearing Herakles from my backlog I'll probably start Tales of Graces f.

I have been considering this thing. It runs basically all consoles from Atari up to Switch, including the various XBoxes an Playstations in there... 120 hz oled display, about the size of a switch, all the gizmos. about $300 direct from CHYNA

Idling doing boring chores in Eve Online between procrastinating a daily Deep Rock mission or two and some sort of strategy/builder game.
Cant complain.
No reason to really buy any new games. Any that mildly interest me I just pirate for an hour before I return to tried & true stuff.

i find old online games that still have a playerbase and i practice my development skills by building bots to play them for me. it is much more fun at this age.

I'm posting from an Odin 2 (max, not portal) right now. 99% of my gaming these days is on this little thing. fuck china but their chinkhelds are truly quite kino.

The only downside is android. What an awful OS. I hope someone makes a mobile/ARM-centric fork of Linux someday with decent levels of emulation compatibility. (Yes I know android is technically a Linux fork but it's so far removed these days it's basically just a shitty iOS knockoff now)
