i'm going to shill this game because it's good and i like it, maybe one of the best indie games of the year. the gameplay itself is like a cross between deus ex and STALKER. anyone else here play it?

I played it back when one of the first demos was available, maybe the only demo I'm not sure, and it had some neat ideas but clearly needed a lot more work and ironing out of mechanics. Way too rough around the edges. One of the maps for instance was just comically large, not the actual size of the map but the objects inside of it like the player was a 4-year old in stature but none of the NPCs were small so I'm not really sure what the idea was there. Game was full of strange choices and jank like that, not necessarily good. But I thought it had tons of potential. Is it EA?

looks like it, which i didn't actually know. it's a pretty solid experience at least in its current state. the first map was fuckhuge massive but it seems like the maps are getting smaller as it goes on, i haven't actually finished it yet so i can't say for sure

yeah like I said map size wasn't the issue, the issue was that you'd walk beside a train and the train car was like 5 meters tall. it was like someone's first attempt at mapping, yet other maps in the demo weren't like that so it was pretty baffling

you're right the scale is weird, i can tell the protag is intentionally supposed to be short but some objects are comically large by comparison. hard to tell from first person but zooming out makes it really obvious. i don't really care personally but i see your point

I played the first demo a few years ago, during a Steam NEXT Fest. I don't care if the developer posts here, I'm not fucking a buying an Early Access game. I'll wishlist it, since that costs me nothing and in some way apparently helps, that's fine. Also, judging from the screenshots? Did he change the way the hacking minigame works? WHY?! The hacking minigame was one of the best parts of the original demo.

They really should let you keep at least a few items. It kind of sucks that there's so many unique guns lying around but you can't collect them and hang on to them, you're pistol starting every time.

Not reading the thread because it's always schizobabble from start to finish, but OP, I agree with you. The game is really cool, the sound track is great, I like that the guns feel unwieldy. It makes me want to try Deus Ex because I've never played that.

it's supposedly close to full release but it has its flaws, it's not for everyone. you will either love it or hate it, depending on the games you like. i don't think a full release is going to make much difference from the experience it currently offers. play the demo if you're interested, it offers a lot of what the full game does.

The devs really need to fix constant scripting fuck ups especially when it comes to guns/mags/items randomly dissappearing or corpses not dropping anything or NPCs teleporting to random places. In a game like that resource conservation is really important so it not even being something consistent is really annoying.
