I don't get much into the generational/boomer vs zoomer/etc mindset but there is something uncanny listening to the average youtuber shift from my generation's culture to the younger. The way they have nostalgia for the late 2000s/early 2010s when I remember growing up seeing that as an awful time for gaming cause everything was brown n bloom CoD wannabe shit

I really took for granted the shared culture we had way back when, respecting certain franchises, having certain views on game design and such, now zoomers just don't care and have their own values, which is fine, I don't begrudge them for it inherently, but I do wish once in awhile I could go back to "my time" and recharge my battery
