I replayed Galaxy recently to 100% and I honestly don't get the hype for it unless you're just remembering it for its art and music which were both admittedly great.

I agree, it's a textbook example of style over substance. The controls are surprisingly poor for a Mario game (especially the mandatory motion controls, whoever decided spin jumps couldn't be a button press should've been sacked from development). Level design is often pathetic, with many being extremely short one-note missions. The music and artstyle is great, though.

Knowing Nintendo, the alternative is a Galaxy 2 remaster sold on its own for $50. I'd rather take having it as a $20 Switch 2 upgrade for 3D All Stars, provided they also reissue the physical and put it back on the eShop.
